Dr. Wang supervises the lab of ornamental marine species (OMS) which created in 2015. Founded by “13th five-year plan” regional (Xiamen) demonstration of marine economy innovative development project of “Collaborative innovation and industrialization center of marine ornamental species” (16PZY002SF18), OMS has become one of the most completed R & D public service platform in China which could provide technic innovation and public service as follows: live feed cultivation, formula feed R&D and production, ornamental propagation and demonstration, personnel training, as well as marine public education. The lab was well equipment and more than 100 fish species, 70 corals and 15 sea jellies were well conserved. At present, OMS holds 5 permanent researchers, 8 master students and 15 undergraduates, we devoted to supply cultured ornamental marine species to environmentally conscientious aquarists.
